Welcome to Mrs. Hanten's English Classes

My name is Sarah Hanten and I am excited for another year of teaching English at Groton Area High School.  I have the opportunity to "hang with the big kids" every day!  I really enjoy teaching junior, senior and Honors English.  I am a proud graduate of Hoven High School - the mighty Greyhounds!  I graduated from Northern State University in 1998 with a major in English and a minor in Business. My previous teaching experience included years at Aberdeen Roncalli High School and Redfield High School.   I am happily married to Cody and I am the mother of four wonderful children.  "Thank God for kids there's magic for a while...."  - this line from an old song by the Oak Ridge Boys is so true.  My family fills my life with sunshine and laughter and I feel very blessed.
